The Atlanta Vibe (2-0) are off to a perfect start in the new Pro Volleyball Federation, a seven-team professional circuit that was founded in 2022 and began play this year. On Thursday night, the Vibe hosts the San Diego Mojo, which is playing its opening game, at Gas South Arena in suburban Duluth, Georgia. Other teams in the league's first season are the Columbus Fury, Grand Rapids Rise, Omaha Supernovas, Orlando Valkyries and Vegas Thrill, with three teams set to join the circuit next season in Dallas, Indianapolis and Kansas City. Teams have 14-player rosters with no more than two internationals allowed.

Outside hitter Alli Linnehan, a two-time All-American at Kentucky, was named PVF Player of the Week after recording 39 digs, 20 kills and 26 points in road wins over Omaha and Orlando last week. The game at Omaha's CHI Health Center set a record with 11,624 in attendance, the most ever for a women's professional volleyball match.
The Mojo drafted six players in December's draft, including Wisconsin outside hitter Temi Thomas-Ailara and added veterans in middle blocker Morgan Lewis (Oregon), Kendra Dahlke (Arizona) and Ali Bastianelli (Illinois, Athletes Unlimited). San Diego later signed Thai setter Nootsara Tomkom, a 38-year-old with more than 50 caps in international play who spent the last three seasons with Athletes Unlimited.
Teams will play 12 matches at home and 12 on the road with the top four finishers advancing to a championship tournament in May, where the winners will earn $1 million.
