Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty look to close out the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA Playoffs today.

The New York Liberty (2-1) used a WNBA playoff record 37 points in the first quarter of Game 3 to build a 21-point lead and cruise to a win. Now it is win or go home for the Connecticut Sun (1-2) on their home court in Game 4 as MVP runner-up Alyssa Thomas and DeWanna Bonner look to force a game five today. Breanna Stewart looked like the MVP in Game 3 leading the way with a game-high 25 points (11-19 shooting), 11 rebounds and two blocks. She got back into a groove after combining for just 30 points on 10-38 shooting in the first two games of this series.

In the win, New York had all five players score in double-figures with Betnijah Laney (20 points), Sabrina Ionescu (16 points), Courtney Vandersloot (12 points) and Jonquel Jones (10 points).

For Connecticut, Thomas led the way in the loss carving up the New York defense and making Stewart earn every point with her defense. She finished the game with a team-high 23 points, a game-high 14 assists and nine rebounds.

Thomas finished the regular season with the most first-place votes for MVP, showing why in this series. She is averaging 13.6 points, 11.0 assists and 8.0 rebounds per game in three games while playing 118 of the 120 minutes.
