A.J. Puk continued his strong spring as he converts from the bullpen to the rotation, scattering five hits and striking out six in 3.1 scoreless innings in Miami's 4-1 victory on Saturday over the Washington Nationals. Nick Fortes had a two-run single in the fourth inning and Tristan Gray was 2-for-3 with an RBI knock in the second.

St. Louis took a 9-3 loss to the New York Mets on Saturday, scoring all of its runs in the bottom of the ninth. Thomas Saggese hit a solo homer and Pedro Pagés hit a two-run shot. Starter Steven Matz allowed four runs in his two-inning stint.

Right-hander Edward Cabrera starts for the Marlins. He's worked five scoreless innings over two outings this spring, fanning five while allowing six hits. Left-hander Drew Rom gets his second start in Florida for the Cardinals after throwing two scoreless innings his first time out.
