How to Watch Porto vs. Arsenal: Stream Champions League Live, TV Channel

English powerhouse Arsenal travels to Porto in the Champions League chasing a landmark win at the Estadio do Porto.

After advancing as the only Portuguese team to reach the Champions League’s round of 16, Porto will attempt to surprise Arsenal on Wednesday when the two teams meet for the first time since 2010. The Gunners blazed to a 5-0 demolition on that occasion to reach the competition’s quarter-finals, but only after suffering a 2-1 defeat in the opening away leg to leave their chances in doubt. Mikel Arteta will attempt to ensure no such slip-ups on this occasion as Arsenal seek to dominate across the 180 minutes, starting with a visit to the Estadio do Dragao. In fact, Arsenal has failed to win in three trips to this ground and lost on two of those occasions, a record Sergio Conceicao’s side will be desperate to uphold as old rivals reunite.

It just so happens 2010 was also the last time Arsenal reached the last eight of the Champions League, hoping Porto will act as a good luck charm of sorts once again almost 15 years later.

Arteta returned the north Londoners to a seat among Europe’s elite this term, but advancing to reach the quarter-finals would truly cement the club’s status as a giant no longer sleeping.

Porto, meanwhile, is featuring in the last 16 for the second season in a row, having last reached the quarter-finals as recently as 2021.

However, the host has been robbed of its top scorer from the past three seasons, Mehdi Taremi, who will sit out the visit from Arsenal due to injury alongside center-back Ivan Marcano.

That’s nothing compared to the Gunners’ injury list, with Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jurrien Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu each among the absentees.

The club was boosted by Thomas Partey and Fabio Vieira returning to training this week, although Wednesday’s trip could come too soon for either midfielder to feature.

Regional restrictions may apply.
